The Common Good Breakfast Series is reconvening on July 23 for its third installment of the year, “Living Well – Blue Zones Thinking.”
Blue Zones are pockets around the world where people live measurably longer and better. In these “Blue Zones” people reach age 100 at rates 10 times greater than in the United States.
Presented by Neuger Communications Group, the event will feature presentations by Blue Zones’ Dave Tsang and Gwen Martin. Tsang will share the stories of the five Blue Zones and their common lifestyle and cultural traits. He’ll provide compelling examples of how Blue Zones research is used to change policies, environments and social networks in communities for improved health and well-being.
In her role as Managing Director at Blue Zones, Gwen Martin is focused on creating new avenues for growth and leveraging partner relationships. She previously worked at Salo, the first company that went through the Blue Zones process. Martin will share her experiences with bringing Blue Zones inside businesses and improving corporate culture and the health of employees.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 23, at the Hilton Minneapolis in downtown Minneapolis, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The program costs $40 with proceeds going to support the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter. Event sponsors include Flight Creative Media and Engage Print.
